Custom mold development
Choose the right custom gummy mold starting point
Begin with a physical prototype or move into a 20- or 100-mold production package after project review. Every option is designed around your artwork, target size, cavity layout, and manufacturing process.

Prototype and production packages
What the $995 deposit includes
- Project and artwork review
- One custom 3D gummy design
- Technical drawing or production layout
- Up to two reasonable revision rounds
- One silicone prototype, typically up to four cavities when feasible
The $995 payment is a non-refundable design and prototype deposit. If a qualifying production mold order is placed within 90 calendar days of prototype delivery, the full $995 is credited toward that order; after 90 days, the credit expires and the deposit is forfeited. The prototype is for shape, portion, filling, formula, release, and concept validation—not commercial-volume production. Production molds, extra prototypes, extensive revisions, and shipping are separate.
What the 20-mold production package includes
- Project and artwork review
- One approved custom 3D gummy design
- Technical drawing or production layout
- 20 custom silicone production molds
- Production estimated at approximately four weeks after final design approval
This package covers one approved design and 20 production molds. Final mold dimensions, cavity count, equipment compatibility, and timing are confirmed during project review. Shipping is arranged separately.
What the 100-mold production package includes
- Project and artwork review
- One approved custom 3D gummy design
- Technical drawing or production layout
- 100 custom silicone production molds
- Production estimated at approximately four weeks after final design approval
This package covers one approved design and 100 production molds. Final mold dimensions, cavity count, equipment compatibility, and timing are confirmed during project review. Shipping is arranged separately.
A clear path from idea to production
How the custom mold process works
-
1
Submit your concept
Send your artwork or shape idea with the target gummy size and intended use.
-
2
Confirm the project scope
We review feasibility, cavity layout, equipment requirements, and the right package.
-
3
Approve the design
Review the 3D design and technical drawing or production layout before manufacturing.
-
4
Manufacture and test
Receive the prototype or selected production quantity, then test it with your formula and process before scale-up.
Before production
Plan for your equipment and process
Piece size, depth, detail, draft, and filling method all affect reliable demolding.
Provide tray dimensions, nozzle spacing, cavity alignment, and shot volume before design approval.
Test the mold with your formula, filling method, processing conditions, and release method before scale-up.
Frequently asked questions
Can you create a mold from my logo or artwork?
Yes. Logos, artwork, sketches, characters, and reference images can be used as the starting point. Some details may need adjustment for filling, release, strength, or manufacturability.
Can the mold be designed around my equipment?
Yes, when accurate tray, nozzle, machine, and production specifications are provided before the design is approved. Final compatibility depends on the complete production setup.
What is included in the $995 prototype deposit?
It includes project and artwork review, one custom 3D gummy shape design, a technical drawing or production layout for approval, up to two reasonable revision rounds, and one physical silicone prototype mold, typically with up to four cavities when feasible. Production molds, additional prototypes, extensive revisions, and shipping are separate.
Is the $995 deposit refundable?
No. The deposit pays for custom design and prototype work and is non-refundable. If you place a qualifying production mold order within 90 calendar days of prototype delivery, the full $995 is credited toward that order. After 90 days, the credit expires and the deposit is forfeited.
How many cavities are included in the silicone prototype?
The prototype is typically configured with up to four cavities when the gummy size, shape, detail, and mold layout permit. The final cavity count is confirmed during project review.
How long does a custom project take?
Prototype timing is confirmed during project review. Production packages are estimated at approximately four weeks after final design approval. Timing may vary with complexity, revisions, quantity, manufacturing capacity, and shipping.
Should I test the mold before full-scale production?
Yes. Test the completed mold with the intended formula, equipment, processing conditions, and release method before setting final yields or beginning full-scale manufacturing.
